Canada issued more than 10,000 invitations to apply (ITAs) to Express Entry candidates in August.
Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) invited 10,384 Express Entry candidates to apply for Canadian immigration across five draws last month.
Two draws each were focused on Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) and Canadian Experience Class (CEC) candidates, with the other invitation round targeting candidates with French language proficiency.
Provincial Nominee Program Draws
The two PNP draws were held on August 13 and August 26, respectively. The average Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score requirement for the two draws was 692 points.
IRCC invited 763 candidates in the invitation round held on August 13. The CRS cutoff score for this round was 690 points.
1,121 candidates were invited in the second PNP draw of August. The CRS score requirement for this round was 694 points.
Canadian Experience Class Draws
The two CEC draws were held on August 14 and August 27, respectively. The average CRS score requirement for the draws was 508 points.
In the first CEC draw, IRCC issued 3,200 ITAs for Canadian immigration. Candidates needed a minimum CRS score of 509 points to be invited in this round.
The second CEC invitation round of August saw 3,300 ITAs issued for Canadian immigration. The CRS cutoff score for this round was 507 points.
French Language Proficiency Draw
IRCC invited 2,000 French-speaking candidates in this draw, held on August 15.
Candidates with a CRS score of at least 394 points were invited to apply for Canadian immigration in this round.
Canada has continued Express Entry invitations in September, with almost 6,000 ITAs already being issued to candidates across three draws.
