British Columbia invited more than 430 candidates to apply for Canadian permanent residency in the latest round of the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) draw.
Candidates invited to permanently move to Canada under this round of the BC PNP draw included skilled workers and international graduates in the Express Entry BC (EEBC) and Skills Immigration (SI). Applicants under Canada’s Entrepreneur Stream were also issued permanent residency invites.
The minimum score thresholds in this round of the BC PNP draw varied between 76 and 98 points for the five categories:
- EEBC – Skilled Worker: 94 points;
- EEBC – International Graduate: 98 points;
- SI – Skilled Worker: 94 points;
- SI – International Graduate: 98 points;
- SI – Entry level and Semi-skilled: 76 points.
In addition to candidates under the above categories, invitations were also sent to applicants in the Entrepreneur Immigration – Regional Pilot Stream and Entrepreneur Immigration – Base Category Stream.
The Regional Pilot Stream is designed to attract new businesses to regional communities in BC. Five invitations were issued under this category.
On the other hand, the Base Category Stream is for business owners and managers who plan on investing in a business in BC and actively manage the business operations on a daily basis. Six applicants under this category were invited for permanent residence in Canada.
