Western Australia has updated its skilled migration program by adding 194 new occupations to its skilled occupation list (SOL).
The Australian state announced the changes to the 2022-23 skilled migration program for the Skilled Nominated visa (subclass 190) and the Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) visa (subclass 491).
After the addition of the new occupations, the SOL now consists of more than 300 eligible occupations for Western Australia’s skilled migration program for 2022-23.
Offshore skilled migrants will be eligible for the state nomination program. International students can also apply for permanent residency in Australia through Western Australia’s skilled migration pathway.
Western Australia’s updated SOL includes fields such as Accounting, Biochemistry, Engineering and Healthcare, among others.
