The provincial government of Ontario has announced it will create a new immigration stream dedicated to technological workers looking to achieve skilled migration to Ontario.
This was announced at the unveiling of Ontario’s new budget last month.
The new stream is Ontario’s response to the needs of employers in the province who are always on the lookout for skilled workers.
It is also designed to strengthen Ontario’s technology sector, and the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP).
Successful applicants of this stream will become a part of the rapidly growing technological job sector in cities such as Toronto, Waterloo, and Ottawa.
This announcement comes as good news to technological workers interested in plying their trade in Canada, as this stream will allow them to do just that and become a part of the workforce driving the strong economy of the country.
In addition, the new budget also announced a pilot initiative to bring highly skilled immigrants to different communities around the province.
