Want to migrate to Australia? 2016-17 SOL and CSOL announced

May 19, 2016 Department of Immigration and Border Protection (DIBP) have released the new Skilled Occupations List (SOL) for 2016-17.
This list will come into effect from 1st July, 2016.
As usual, IT and Engineering occupations have been maintaining high demand and dominate both lists.

There have been no changes to the Consolidated Sponsored Occupations List (CSOL) which applies to employer and state sponsored visas. The CSOL covers most of the occupational categories. The States and Territories nominated occupation lists will also update soon.

Since, the Migration Program Year 2016-17 will start on July 1, 2016, the trends of the last few years indicate that South Australia (SA) might come up with an updated list on the very first day. NSW and VIC usually update their lists within 2 to 4 weeks followed by rest of the states (WA, TAS, QLD) and territories (ACT, NT).
